Manufacturing Steel Welders and Fitters
About This Role
We are looking for skilled Steel Welders and Steel Fitters to build high-quality metal components. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, fabricating and fitting metal components or structures.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Welder: 4+ years’ experience as a steel welder or metal fabricator in a manufacturing facility with the ability to grind and finish completed projects.
- Fitter: 5+ years’ experience fitting steel components such as beam, plate, pipe, and tube with tolerances no greater than 1/8" is required.
- Must have your own tools such as squares, levels, hammers, centerpunches, etc.
- Knowledgeable in .045 dual flux core welding process.
- Standard knowledge of rigging practices utilizing 5t-25t cranes.
- Ability to layout raw materials to create parts for sub-assemblies using oxy/acetylene torch, plasma cutters, as well as drills.
- Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
- Ability to stand, bend, or kneel for long periods.
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS OUR WELD TEST
- NEGATIVE DRUG SCREEN REQUIRED, NO EXCEPTIONS
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building sawmill equipment is a plus.
